Description
Based on U.S. Forest Service ranger Ed Pulaski's 1911 dual-purpose design, this tool combines an axe blade and a mattock for cutting and digging in a single head. The 3¾ lb drop-forged carbon steel head is equally effective for chopping trees and digging in hard or root-bound soil. Standard equipment for wildland firefighters cutting firelines, and widely used by foresters, homesteaders, and trail crews. Mounts on a 36" American hickory or safety-grip hickory handle.
Made in the USA
Drop-forged in Warwood Tool's Wheeling, WV factory from American high-carbon steel. Handle is American hickory.
