VerifiedBrothers Dick and Pete Dreissigacker founded Concept2 in 1976 in a Vermont barn, starting with hand-built carbon fiber rowing oars. In 1981 they introduced the first practical air-resistance indoor rowing machine, and today their factory in Morrisville, Vermont produces the RowErg, SkiErg, and BikeErg ergometers used at every level of competition from high school programs to the Olympics.
