Primo Ceramic Grills
Poplar Bluff, MOFounded 1996
The only American manufacturer of ceramic kamado grills, Primo has been firing its oval-shaped SuperCeramic cookers in the United States since 1996. Founded in Georgia by Greek-born entrepreneur George Samaras, the company introduced the patented oval kamado design in 2002 — enabling simultaneous direct-heat searing and indirect low-and-slow smoking from a single firebox. Acquired by Illinois-based Empire Comfort Systems in 2019, Primo continues to mold, fire, and assemble every grill at its plant in Poplar Bluff, Missouri.
