Oberon Company has manufactured arc flash and electrical safety protection equipment at its ISO 9001-certified facility in North Dartmouth, Massachusetts since 1978. Founded by Jack Hirschmann, Oberon invented the first arc flash face shield in 1985 and pioneered True Color Grey (TCG) lens technology, which allows electricians to distinguish wire colors accurately while wearing arc flash protection. The company's line spans 8–140 cal/cm² rated face shields, hoods, gloves, and flame-resistant suits used by utilities, industrial facilities, and electrical contractors across North America.
