VerifiedBennington, VTFounded 1948
Founded in 1948 by ceramicist David Gil in Bennington, Vermont, Bennington Potters handcrafts functional stoneware at The Potters Yard on County Street. Every piece — mugs, bakers, casseroles, dinnerware — is fired at approximately 2,200°F through an 18-hour kiln cycle, producing lead-free, non-porous, chip-resistant pottery designed for both the oven and the table. One of America's last remaining commercial pottery manufacturers, still operating in the historic Pottery Capital of New England.
